ABOUT MICHELLE AND MOUNT VERNON DATA SYSTEMS
At MVDS, our primary business focus is Database Systems. We work with the client to define business and systems requirements. We ensure that the design concept is solid, and that the specifications are detailed and accurate.
On projects where the programming is contracted under the control of the client, we act as liaison and project manager to ensure timely delivery of a product that meets both client specifications and budgetary constraints.
Michelle co-founded Mount Vernon Data Systems in 1990, and since that time she’s accumulated experience in data modeling and refactoring; database design, development, and administration; software design and development; requirements analysis; and project management. She is an expert in relational database management systems, especially Microsoft SQL Server.
As a technical writer, she is the author of pieces such as “SQL Server 2000 Design and T-SQL Programming, January 2001,” various white papers (Microsoft, Sybase, ERWin, and company blogs), and presentations to professional groups. She was a contributing editor and columnist to SQL Server Magazine.
Michelle has instructed database courses for undergraduate and graduate level students in computer science programs at the University of Denver and Red Rocks Community College. She is an experienced trainer in database administration and has two video courses available soon.
